Installation of mod_rpaf on CentOS from Source

The below instructions can be used to install mod_rpaf on CentOS 5 and CentOS 6. It can also be used to install mod_rpaf on RHEL and Fedora Core.

Note: You must make sure that the Apache2 Development Package (CentOS httpd-devel) is installed on your server before you start installing mod_rpaf using the below instructions.

1. Ensure that the package 

   httpd-devel

    is installed. To install this package run:

Alien es una herramienta que permite convertir los paquietes de diferentes distributivos. 
En nuestro caso convertiremos un paquiete de Debian (.deb) a un paquiete de Redhat o Centos (.rpm) 

Instalación de Alien.

wget -c ftp.debian.org/debian/pool/main/a/alien/alien_8.88.tar.gz
tar -zxf alien_8.88.tar.gz
cd alien
perl Makefile.PL 
make 
make install

Debemos asegurarnos que está instalado rpm-build

Procederemos con conversión del paquete  debootstrap de .deb a .rpm

Para empezar, instalamos nuestro server Centos 5.2, luego el serividor Proxy:
yum -y install squid httpd

Añadimos el repo de dag.wieers.com
wget dag.wieers.com/packages/RPM-GPG-KEY.dag.txt
rpm -i rpmforge-release
rpm -ivh apt.sw.be/redhat/el5/en/i386/rpmforge/RPMS/rpmforge-release-0.3.6-1.el5.rf.i386.rpm
